John B. Bills, our Co-Chief Credit Officer, joined Preston Hollow Community Capital in September 2014. His corporate responsibilities include evaluation, analysis, and underwriting of the real property components of the firm’s investments. Mr. Bills also assists in the negotiation and structuring of specific transactions.
Mr. Bills previously served as Chief Credit Officer and Director of CMBS Surveillance for a Dallas-based capital markets firm, where he was also a member of the Special Servicing Committee. He joined the firm in 2003 following 11 years at GE Capital Real Estate, last serving as a Senior Underwriter and Territory Team Leader for the company’s conduit lending program following several years within GECRE’s Asset Management and Operations group.
Mr. Bills’ prior experience includes commercial real estate loan origination, asset management, and loan workout responsibilities for a variety of financial institutions, both directly and with third-party entities, including the JE Robert Companies.
Mr. Bills holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from Southern Methodist University in Dallas.
