Richard Akulich

Richard Akulich is a Director in PHC’s Capital Markets Group, with responsibility for credit research support. Richard has performed extensive research on various distressed municipal governments, is well known in the tobacco securitization sector, and has been a featured speaker in several Standard & Poor’s U.S. Structured Credit Roundtables. Before joining PHC, Mr. Akulich served as a Managing Director with Mesirow Financial, preceded by five years with JPMorgan Chase in the Institutional Sales & Trading and Alternative Asset Management groups. Mr. Akulich has been awarded two Smith’s Research & Rating Review All-Star awards. He earned a BS degree from Carnegie Mellon University and a JD degree from Brooklyn Law School. Richard holds FINRA Series 7, 24, 53 and 63 licenses.
