Claire Thurmon has a diverse work experience across various industries and roles. Claire is currently working as the Director of Communications at Preston Trail Community Church since July 2022. Prior to that, they served as the Parent Ministry Director from January to June 2022, and as the NextGen Director - McKinney from December 2020 to March 2022.
Before joining Preston Trail Community Church, Claire worked at Blackhawk Network, where they held multiple roles. Claire started as an Account Specialist in March 2012 and eventually became the Client Development Director from May 2018 to December 2020. Additionally, they served as a Sr. Product Manager, Strategy and Solutions from April 2017 to April 2018 and as a Product Manager, Channel Incentives from May 2015 to April 2017, wherein they played a vital role in defining and executing product strategies, managing technical builds, supporting business development, and documenting product features.
Claire also gained experience at the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners as an Activities Coordinator - Conferences & Meetings from April to October 2011, and at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi: Career Services as a Marketing Coordinator for the Small Business Internship Program from August 2010 to February 2011.
Additionally, they worked as an Event Coordinator/Facilities Manager at Cha Cha Events, LLC from December 2009 to August 2010, as a Community Outreach: Events and Conferences Assistant at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi from February to December 2009, and as a Special Events and Projects Coordinator at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi: Women's Center for Education and Service from August 2007 to February 2009.
Claire Thurmon has extensive experience in communications, ministry, product management, client development, event coordination, and marketing.
Claire Thurmon obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Communication & Public Relations (Minor) from Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi. Claire attended the university from 2007 to 2010. In addition to their degree, they also obtained a certification titled "How to be a Phenomenal Product Manager" from 280 Group in December 2016.
