James Neale

Managing Director, Litigation Finance at Pretium

James Neale began their work experience as an Associate at Breed, Abbott & Morgan in 1981. James later joined Butler, Fitzgerald & Potter, PC as an Associate from 1984 to 1987. Neale then became a Partner at Owen & Davis, PC from 1987 to 2002. From 2002 to 2015, they worked as a Partner at Norton Rose Fulbright. Neale then moved to Winslett Studnicky McCormick & Bomser LLP, where they served as a Partner from 2015 to 2021. Currently, Neale is the Managing Director of Litigation Finance at Pretium, a specialized alternative investment management firm. Additionally, they have served as the General Counsel (Pro Bono) for the United States Fencing Association from 2013 to 2021.

James Neale attended the Pingry School from 1969-1973, where they obtained their high school education. James then pursued their undergraduate studies at Princeton University from 1973-1977, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in Politics. Following their bachelor's degree, Neale enrolled at the Washington & Lee University School of Law from 1978-1981, where they obtained their Juris Doctor (JD) degree in 1981, specializing in Law.
