Jody Heavilin

Alcohol Policy Resource Center Administrator at Prevention First

Jody Heavilin brings extensive experience in substance abuse prevention and health education. Currently serving as the Alcohol Policy Resource Center Administrator and Training and Technical Assistance Specialist at Prevention First Inc. since August 2015, Jody provides training and assistance to grantees of the Illinois Department of Human Services while also creating and editing relevant curriculum. Previous experience includes a 15-year role as a Health Educator at Tazewell County Health Department, where Jody directed evidence-based strategies to reduce youth substance use in collaboration with local law enforcement. Jody’s career began as a Paralegal at Westervelt, Johnson, Nicoll & Keller, where support was provided to attorneys in research and case presentation. Jody holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Eureka College.
