Cid Soares

Cid Soares has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Cid started their career as a Network Support Intern at CONAB - Companhia Nacional do Abastecimento and later worked as a Support Analyst Unix at Oi/Telemar. Cid then moved on to roles such as Junior System Analyst at Secretaria de Planejamento do Estado da Bahia - Seplan and Mid System Analyst at Secretaria de Administração do Estado da Bahia - Saeb. Cid also worked as a Technical Consultant and Senior System Analyst at Companhia de Processamento de Dados do Estado da Bahia.

In recent years, Cid transitioned to technical leadership roles within agile teams. Cid worked as a Senior Java Backend Developer at Opah IT Consulting, where they were responsible for modernizing the existing architecture for a new hotel gateway solution. At Zup Innovation, Cid held the position of Specialist Developer and later Tech Lead at Itau Bank, where they focused on microservice development and analytics. Cid also worked as a Tech Manager at BEES Bank Brasil, leading agile teams in building MVPs and driving new revenue streams.

Cid's most recent role is as a Lead Software Engineer at PRGX Global Inc. Here, they provide technical leadership to agile teams and is responsible for designing and implementing technical solutions. Cid also leads and guides development teams, provides recommendations for improving processes and architectures, and interfaces with stakeholders to determine technical requirements.

Throughout their career, Cid has gained extensive experience in various technologies, including Java, Python, AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, and more. Cid is familiar with agile methodologies such as Scrum and Kanban and has a strong focus on delivering high-quality solutions and ensuring scalability and performance.

Cid Soares has a diverse education history. Cid earned a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering from Faculdade de Ciências e Tecnologia in 2010. Following that, they pursued a specialization in Software Engineering from Faculdade Ruy Barbosa in 2012-2013. In 2013-2015, Cid completed a Master's degree in Mechatronics from Universidade Federal da Bahia, specializing in Mechatronics, Robotics, and Control Engineering. Recently, in 2018-2019, they obtained an MBA in Technologies and Applications of Business Intelligence from Universidade Católica do Salvador. In terms of certifications, Cid Soares holds the titles of Kanban Systems Improvement (KMP II) from Aspercom - Educação Corporativa (2021), Professional Scrum Master I (PSM I) from Scrum.org (2020), and Kanban KMP Foundation I from Lean Kanban Inc. (2018).
