Head of Year Round Events at Pride in London

Carley Owen has gained extensive work experience in various roles related to event management, student engagement, and organizational leadership.

Carley'smost recent position is as the Head of Year Round Events at Pride in London since March 2019. Prior to this, Carley worked as the Trustee for Enhance the UK starting in November 2022.

Carley also served as the Student Experience Manager at the University of the Arts London from August 2021.

From March 2019 to July 2021, Carley was the Events Manager at the University of East London, where they demonstrated their skills in planning and managing events.

Before that, Carley held positions at the University of East London Students' Union as the Student Activities Manager and Activities and Events Manager, contributing to the success of Freshers Fortnight and overseeing student activities and events.

Carley has also been involved in student engagement at Queen Mary University of London Students' Union, where they worked as the Societies Manager and played a pivotal role in managing budgets and team operations.

Carley'sexperience extends to Huddersfield Students' Union, where they worked as the Student Activities Coordinator and achieved success in initiating an accreditation scheme and organizing fundraising events.

During their time at The Union, Manchester Metropolitan University and the University of Central Lancashire, Carley held roles as a Student Activities Assistant and Sports Activator/Motivator, respectively.

Carley started their career as a Sports Assistant at UCLAN Sports Arena in 2007.

Carley Owen began their education at Rivington and Blackrod High School, where they obtained nine GCSE's with grades ranging from A to C. Following their high school education, they attended Rivington and Blackrod Sixth Form College, where they pursued three A Levels in Health and Physical Education/Fitness, achieving grades C to E.

In 2007, Carley enrolled at the University of Central Lancashire to pursue a Foundation degree in Health and Social Care (Rehabilitation), which they completed in 2009. Afterward, they continued their studies at the same university, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Sports Studies between 2009 and 2012.

In 2017, Carley briefly attended Queen Mary University of London to acquire an ILM Level 2 certification in Leadership and Team Skills.
