Deirdre O'Gorman

Deirdre O'Gorman is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in risk management, assurance, governance, and internal audit, currently serving as Head of Risk at Primark since April 2013. Prior roles at Primark include Head of Assurance, Governance & Compliance Senior Manager, and Internal Audit Lead. From April 2006 to March 2013, Deirdre held various positions at Bord na Móna, encompassing Head of Internal Audit, Internal Audit Manager, and Senior Internal Auditor. Prior to that, Deirdre worked at Deloitte as an External Auditor and in Management Consulting from 2002 to 2006. Educational qualifications include a Master's degree in Accounting from UCD Michael Smurfit Graduate Business School, a B.Comm. in International with German from University College Dublin, and professional certifications such as ACA/FCA, Management of Risk Practitioner, and diplomas from Chartered Accountants Ireland and the Institute of Technology, Carlow.
