Osvaldo Cortes

Osvaldo Cortes is the current Senior Director of Human Resources at PRIMARY ARMS, LLC. Osvaldo has previous experience as the Director of Human Resources & Talent at Southern HVAC from June 2019 to May 2022 and as Human Resources at Pilot Flying J from January 2015 to December 2019. At Southern HVAC, Osvaldo was responsible for driving business results and coordinating all aspects of human capital management with for a 900+ employee fast growing company. This included talent and succession planning, compensation, workplace culture, benefits administration, safety and payroll. Southern HVAC sought to provide a best-in-class environment with competitive benefits including 401k matching and career growth. The company continued to thrive during the Covid 19 pandemic by ensuring the safety of our team members and our customers.

At Pilot Flying J, Osvaldo worked with key leaders to grow a culture focused on enhancing the team member and guest experience. In partnership with organizational leaders, they developed a performance-based culture that embraced the development and attraction and recruitment of top talent, workforce development and training, and enabled performance that differentiates the guest experience from competitors. Osvaldo drove people practices that reflected the changing demographic of today's workforce, established teams that flourished and contributed innovative business solutions and collaborated on strategies to be an employer-of-choice. PFJ is also the largest operator of travel centers and the largest retailer of diesel fuel in the U.S. and is part of the Berkshire Hathaway family of companies.

Osvaldo Cortes has a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) from the Jack Welch Management Institute and a Bachelor's Degree from California State University, Northridge. Osvaldo also has a certification from LinkedIn in Jeff Weiner on Establishing a Culture and a Plan for Scaling.
