Chris Zhu

Chris Zhu has a diverse work experience in the technology industry. Chris currently serves as the Chief Technology Officer at Primary.Health since April 2020. Previously, they worked at Airbnb from 2016 to 2020, where they held the position of a Machine Learning Engineer - Tech Lead. During their time at Airbnb, Chris developed an in-house NLP powered chatbot, significantly reducing customer support tickets and generating estimated annualized cost savings of over $20M. Chris also contributed to building infrastructure and software for continuous integration and deployment, including a tool called Deployboard.

Prior to Airbnb, Chris worked as a Software Engineer at Instagram from 2014 to 2015 and at Facebook in 2014.

Chris Zhu attended The University of British Columbia from 2012 to 2015, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Computer Science.
