John Allspaw

John Allspaw is a seasoned technology leader with a diverse background in engineering and operations. As the Principal and Founder of Adaptive Capacity Labs, LLC, John brings expertise in adaptive systems. In addition, John serves as a Tech Council Advisor at Primary Venture Partners. A former Chief Technology Officer at Etsy, John has held several leadership roles there, including SVP of Infrastructure and Operations and VP of Technical Operations. Prior to Etsy, John gained experience as an Engineering Manager at Flickr Operations within Yahoo! and worked as an Infrastructure Architect at Friendster, Inc. John holds a Master’s Degree in Human Factors and Systems Safety from Lund University and an MS in Mechanical Engineering from Tufts University.
