Shauna-Kay Carnegie has a diverse range of work experience. Shauna-Kay began their career in 2012 as a Contributing Writer for B.L.A.C. Detroit Magazine. In 2013, they worked as a Marketing Communications Intern for Magnuson Hotel and Conference Center and also started their own business, Supreme Goddess Hair LLC, where they served as the CEO and Brand/Web Content Manager. In this role, they focused on brand development and web content management.

In 2014, Shauna-Kay transitioned to the sports industry and joined ESPN. Shauna-Kay first worked as an Associate Studio Operator, where they took on various responsibilities such as camera operating, video operating, and stage management. Shauna-Kay then moved on to the role of Associate Media Operator, where they handled quality control, video playback, and editing.

In 2016, Shauna-Kay became a Content Editor at ESPN, leading a team of creatives and producing engaging digital media content for the SportsCenter brand. Shauna-Kay was also responsible for editing montages and highlights for various ESPN shows, as well as managing licensing contracts with music databases.

Most recently, starting in 2019, Shauna-Kay joined Primary Wave as a Digital Marketing Manager. In this role, they led a team and managed marketing campaigns for artists such as CeeLo Green, Brandy, and Boyz II Men. Shauna-Kay'sresponsibilities included strategizing and managing marketing plans, coordinating influencer relationships, and creating compelling content across various mediums. Additionally, they rebuilt websites and specialized in email marketing.

Shauna-Kay Carnegie attended Hampton University from 2010 to 2014, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Broadcast Journalism with a minor in Marketing. In 2013, they also studied Intermediate Spanish Language and Culture at Universidad de Salamanca in Salamanca, Spain. In 2015, Shauna-Kay obtained a certification in American Heart Association Heartsaver CPR AED.
