Rajeev Pant

Rajeev Pant has a diverse work experience in the banking industry spanning over several years. Rajeev is currently the Chief Executive Officer at Prime Bank Africa, starting in 2023. Prior to this, they held the role of Member Board of Directors at First Capital Bank, Malawi, starting in 2023.

In 2022, Rajeev worked as the Regional Head Financial Institutions at Mashreq Corporate & Investment Banking Group until February 2023. From 2017 to 2020, they served as the Managing Director and Head of NBFI and later as the Managing Director and Head of International - Financial Institutions Group at First Abu Dhabi Bank (FAB).

Previously, Rajeev held the position of Regional CEO and Head of Wholesale for South Asia at National Bank of Abu Dhabi from 2015 to 2017. Rajeev also worked as the General Manager India at National Australia Bank from 2011 to 2015, and as the Head Corporate Coverage India at Credit Agricole CIB (formerly Calyon) from 2007 to 2011.

Rajeev started their career at HSBC in 1994 and held multiple roles in various functions, primarily in relationship roles in Corporate Banking and Custodial Services. Rajeev later transitioned into the role of Head of Credit Risk at HSBC Mauritius. Rajeev also worked as a Senior Vice President at DBS Bank from 2005 to 2007.

In their career, Rajeev has gained extensive experience in leadership, financial institutions, and risk management.

Rajeev Pant has completed their education with a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Sydenham College of Commerce and Economics. Rajeev also holds an ACA designation from The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, specializing in Accounting and Finance.
