Azam J Chowdhury

Azam J Chowdhury has extensive experience in leadership roles across various sectors, currently serving as Director at Omera Petroleum Ltd and Omera Fuels Ltd, and Managing Director at MJL Bangladesh Limited. Since 2012, Azam has been the President of the Bangladesh Ocean Going Ship Owners Association, representing ship owners operating in the international market. Other notable positions include Chairman of Prime Bank Limited, Finlay Tea Companies, and East Coast Group, as well as Director at Central Depository Bangladesh Ltd. Azam previously held the position of Chairman at Green Delta Insurance Company Ltd and the Bangladesh Energy Companies Association. Educational background includes undergraduate studies at Dhaka University and M C College from 1970 to 1977.
