Ryan Thomas

Ryan Thomas has a diverse work experience in software engineering and development. Ryan currently works as a Principal Engineer at Intelligent Payload Solutions, Inc., where they design and develops digital security systems for physical documents. Their previous roles include being a Senior Software Engineer at Prime Image, Founder of MindBending Software, and a Principal Engineer at Channel19.

At Prime Image, Ryan worked as a Senior Software Engineer. Ryan founded MindBending Software, a company that provides software consulting services to various clients. Ryan has designed and developed systems for business registration, transit planning, image processing, and video editing.

During their time at Channel19, Ryan worked as a Principal Engineer, contributing to the design and development of software for load management in carriers. This involved building a scalable cloud system with web and mobile clients that integrated third-party load boards.

Before that, Ryan was a Senior Software Engineer at Six Actual Software, where they were the technical lead developer on libraries used for administrative applications for Wyoming. Ryan also provided administration and IT support for the Google tools used by the production system.

Ryan has also worked at DN2K as a Senior Software Engineer, where they developed plugins for external data sources in a Spring-based system and performed tasks related to setting up and maintaining artifact deployment and build servers.

Their experience at Totem involved gathering requirements and designing and developing a system for managing lien assets. Ryan also contributed to the design and development of a system to scrape property data.

Ryan started their career at Intelligent Software Solutions as a Senior Software Engineer, where they worked on various research and development projects, including integrating Google Earth into Windows desktop applications.

Before that, they worked as a Software Engineer at Securics, where they interned and was later hired. Ryan worked on multiple biometrics projects, including face detection, fingerprint models, object tracking, and machine learning.

Ryan's early work experience includes being a Research Assistant at the VAST Lab at UCCS, where they worked on various image processing tasks under Dr. Terry Boult's Vision and Security lab. This included face and finger detection, tracking, data collection, image manipulation, and JUnit testing.

Ryan Thomas has a strong educational background in computer science. Ryan obtained a Master's degree in Computer Science from the University of Colorado Colorado Springs, where they studied from 2008 to 2011. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Computer Science at the same university from 2004 to 2008. Additionally, they have obtained a certification as a Google Cloud Certified Professional Cloud Architect from Google in May 2019.
