Louis Costabile

Louis Costabile has a solid background in scientific research and development. Louis started their career as a Research Assistant at the University of Rhode Island, where they focused on genomic editing of cereal crops. Louis gained hands-on experience in transformation experiments and general lab practices.

Louis then joined Nitto Avecia as a Manufacturing Chemist III, where they worked for two years before joining Prime Medicine, Inc. In their role at Nitto Avecia, Louis contributed to the manufacturing process and chemical production.

Currently, Louis is working at Prime Medicine, Inc. as a Process Development Associate Scientist Co-op. Here, they are involved in developing IVT methods and downstream purification techniques for mRNA used in gene therapy. Louis is also working on automation solutions using Tecan Fluent software.

Louis Costabile's education history begins with obtaining a High School Diploma from South Kingstown High School from 2011 to 2015. Following this, they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Cell and Molecular Biology at the University of Rhode Island between 2015 and 2019. To further their education, Louis then pursued a Master of Science degree in Biotechnology at Northeastern University in 2022. In addition to their academic pursuits, Louis obtained a certification in Unconscious Bias from LinkedIn in December 2020.
