Prior to their engineering roles, Breanne worked as a Research Assistant at the Sustainable Water and Energy Laboratory at the University of Connecticut from January 2011 to July 2013. Their research focused on activated carbon nanofiber nonwovens for microbial fuel cells.

During their time at Dow Chemical in the summer of 2012, Breanne served as a Product Quality Engineering Intern in the Electronic Materials Division. Their projects at Dow Chemical centered around using microscopy and software to analyze material properties and developing a process for UV-light inspection of specialty materials.

To start their career, Breanne gained experience as a Head Guard/Lifeguard at Six Flags New England from August 2008 to April 2011.

Breanne Butler's education history begins with their high school education at Enrico Fermi High School.
