Mamie Nozawa-Inoue, PhD has a diverse work experience. Mamie began their career in 1990 as an Undergraduate/Graduate Researcher at Yokohama National University. In 1993, they moved to Mitsubishi Plastics, Inc. as a Technology Development. In 1995, they became a Ph.D. Researcher at Toyohashi University of Technology. From 1998 to 2002, they were a Postdoctoral Researcher at Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology. In 2002, they moved to University of California, Davis as a Staff Research Associate III / Postdoctoral Researcher. In 2007, they became a Senior Project Scientist at Environmental Resolutions, Inc. From 2011 to 2014, they worked as a Pilot Plant Project Manager and Director of Biology / Senior Fermentation Scientist at Micromidas Inc. In 2014, they joined Origin Materials as a Business Development, Japanese bilingual and Product Stewardship & Regulatory Scientist. Since 2017, they have been working as an Independent Consultant. In 2020, they began working as Head of Fermentation and Protein Science and Fermentation R&D and Business Development at Prime Roots.

Mamie Nozawa-Inoue, PhD received their Bachelor's Degree in Materials Science and Chemical Engineering from Yokohama National University in 1991. Mamie then completed their Master's Degree in Materials Science and Chemical Engineering from Yokohama National University in 1993. In 1995, they obtained their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Environment and Life Engineering from Toyohashi University of Technology.
