Kirk Borne, Ph.D. obtained their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Astronomy from Caltech, where they studied from 1975 to 1981. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Physics at Louisiana State University, where they attended from 1972 to 1975. Kirk began their educational journey at Bellevue High School in Bellevue, Nebraska, where they earned a Diploma in College Prep from 1969 to 1972.
