Neil Matthys

Neil Matthys currently serves as Vice President of Tax and Treasury at PrimeFlight Aviation Services, responsible for tax strategy, reporting, compliance, and global cash management since July 2023. Previously, Neil held various leadership roles at BHP, including Vice President Tax - Americas, where oversight encompassed all tax matters for North and South America, managing a team of 25 professionals and approximately $12 billion in revenue. Prior to BHP, Neil worked at Transocean in several senior tax positions, including Tax Director - Global Reporting and Regional Tax Director, overseeing tax compliance, reporting, and strategic planning. Earlier experiences include roles at Hercules Offshore, PwC, and Arthur Andersen & Co., along with service as an Aviation Electronics Technician in the US Navy. Neil holds a Master of Professional Accountancy and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from Texas A&M University-Kingsville and completed executive development at CEDEP, Fontainebleau.
