Prasanna Desikan

Prasanna Desikan is a seasoned professional in the fields of artificial intelligence, healthcare informatics, and data sciences. As the Head of Artificial Intelligence at PrimeOrbit since February 2024, Prasanna also serves as the Vice President of Industry Relationship at the Institute of Healthcare Informatics, focusing on fostering industry collaborations. With a strong editorial role as Associate Editor for the Journal of Healthcare Informatics Research, Prasanna has held various leadership positions including Senior Director of Engineering and Data Sciences at HealthLevel, and Director roles at Genalyte, Inc. and BaseHealth, Inc. A former Data Science Leader at Blue Shield of California, Prasanna has a rich background in developing advanced analytical solutions and has contributed significantly to research as a Data Mining Research Investigator at Allina Health.
