Scott Kuyken

Scott Kuyken has had a diverse work experience throughout their career. Scott started as a Quality Design Assurance Intern at Zebra Technologies in 2006 and 2007, where they developed various projects related to automated vision verification systems and DC motors. In 2008, they joined Sargent and Lundy as a Senior Electrical Engineer/Lead Engineer, working in the nuclear and fossil power industry. During this time, they led projects for NVEnergy, City of Ames, and the Tennessee Valley Authority. In 2015, they joined Primera Engineers as a Senior Electrical Engineer/Lead Engineer and later became the Distribution Engineering Director. In this role, they focused on process improvement, staff development, and providing independent reviews and consultations on proposals.

Scott Kuyken obtained a Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the Illinois Institute of Technology, where they studied from 2003 to 2007. In terms of additional certifications, they obtained the TL - Leading Management Systems Audit Teams (ISO 19011:2018) certification from BSI in October 2019. Scott also received the Team Leader Module (TPECS) certification from BSI in the same month and year. In June 2017, they obtained the EM - Environmental Management Systems v2.0 certification and the ISO 14001:2015 Requirements (TPECS): Environmental Management Systems certification, both from BSI. Additionally, they obtained the ISO 9001:2015 Internal Auditor (TPECS) - Quality Management Systems certification and the QM- Quality Management Systems v2.0 certification from BSI in April 2017. In March 2017, they received the AU - Management Systems Auditing v2.0 certification from BSI. Furthermore, Scott Kuyken obtained a professional license as a Licensed Professional Engineer in the State of Illinois from the Illinois Department of Professional Regulation in February 2013.
