Karsten Anker Petersen has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Karsten Anker has held various roles in communication, public affairs, and campaign management. Karsten started their career as a Lecturer at Selandia Business School in 1998. Karsten Anker then worked as a Lecturer at the school until 2002, during which they also served as a Political Consultant and Executive Assistant at TDC A/S. From 2002 to 2006, they worked as the Head of Communication at the Danish Meat Association. Karsten then joined Landbrug & Fødevarer as the Head of Communication for a brief period in 2009. Karsten Anker later became a Special Adviser to Minister Lykke Friis at the Ministry of Climate and Energy from 2009 to 2011. Karsten then transitioned to the role of Head of Communications and Public Relations at DONG Energy A/S from 2011 to 2015. After that, they became the Head of Communications at Nets Group from 2015 to 2017. Karsten then served as a Partner and CEO at Borgen Communications & Public Affairs, a communications consultancy, from 2017 to 2019. Karsten Anker was also the General Secretary and Campaign Manager at Liberal Alliance from 2019 to 2020. Currently, Karsten holds the position of Head of Public Affairs at Primetime Kommunikation, starting from August 2020.
Karsten Anker Petersen began their education in 1990 at Copenhagen Business School, where they completed a degree in Cand. merc. with a focus on strategy, organisation, and management in 1996. In 2003, they attended Copenhagen Business School again, this time to study corporate communication. The following year, in 2004, they participated in the TDC Corporate Leadership Programme, earning a qualification in the TDC Corporate Leadership Program.
