Sanmi Areola

Sanmi Areola is the Deputy Chief Administrative Officer for Health Human Services and Education at Prince George's County, Maryland. Areola previously served as the Director of Health and Environment at Johnson County and held various leadership roles at Metro Public Health Department, including Deputy Director of Health, Toxicologist, and Director of Environmental Public Health. Areola's academic background includes a Ph.D. in Environmental Toxicology from Texas Southern University and a Bachelor's Degree in Agriculture and Animal Science from Obafemi Awolowo University. Areola also served as the Past President of the African Society for Toxicological Sciences and worked as a Postdoctoral Fellow at Baylor College of Medicine.
