Karen Garforth

Karen joined Princess Alice Hospice in September 2019, after 8 years at the conservation charity WWF, where she was the Director of HR for the UK.

Karen started her early career as a graduate trainee with the Scottish Health Service, working in hospitals in the Glasgow area, before moving to British Gas where she spent 17 years.

After heading up the HR team in the West of Scotland, Karen moved south and held a variety of senior leadership roles in Customer Service and Service Quality at British Gas headquarters and also at their parent company, Centrica.
