Lorraine Sciarra is currently a Trustee at Princeton Day School. Lorraine previously worked at Princeton University from September 1989 to June 2011, where they were Senior University Counsel. In this role, they were responsible for the non-profit, tax, corporate, governance, development, international, and financial work at Princeton University. This included managing complex transactions such as the successful negotiation with the Italian Ministry of Culture over alleged looted antiquities in the Princeton University Art Museum and playing a key role in the Robertson v. Princeton donor intent case.
Sciarra also had various other responsibilities during their time at Princeton University. These included all legal matters involving the Development Office (such as individual, corporate, and foundation gifts, charitable trusts, and estates) from 1989 to 2007, all legal aspects of University affirmative action programs from 1995 to 2004, management of the Office of Visa Services (which provides immigration services to faculty, staff, and graduate students) from 1997 to 2010, and management of the Office of General Counsel from 1998 to 1999.
Prior to working at Princeton University, Sciarra was a Law Associate at Oppenheimer Wolff & Donnelly from January 1988 to December 1989 and Morrison & Foerster LLP from January 1984 to December 1988.
Lorraine Sciarra's educational career began with a Bachelor of Arts in Art Lorraine'story from Pomona College.
