Natalie Lamarque

Natalie Lamarque joined Principal Financial Group, Inc. as Executive Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary in 2022. Prior to this role, she was employed by New York Life Insurance Company, where she held various positions, including senior vice president and general counsel. Prior to that she served as an Assistant U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York in the Criminal Division. She was also an associate at Debevoise and Plimpton, LLP in the white collar group. She started her career as a federal district court and court of appeals law clerk.

Lamarque is admitted to practice in New York and obtained her B.A. cum laude from Duke University and her J.D. magna cum laude from Duke University School of Law. She is on the boards of City Year, Inc. and the Association of Life Insurance Counsel as well as on the New York University School of Law’s Board of Advisors for Program on Corporate Compliance and Enforcement.
