Joseph Nguyen

Joseph Nguyen has over 14 years of work experience. Starting in 2006, they worked as a Staff Analyst for the Judicial Council of California, where they maintained and edited a website for self-represented litigants, acted as a go-to person for all computer- and web-related issues, and designed and deployed surveys and analyzed data from responses. In 2014, they began working as a Web Developer for SureUp, where they collaborated with insurance experts to develop and implement plan recommendation algorithms utilizing calculus written in Ruby, wrote Unit and Integration tests using RSpec following TDD principles, and constructed RESTful routes on a Ruby on Rails server. From 2016 to 2019, they worked as a Software Engineer for Walker & Company Brands and Brandless, Inc. In 2020, they began working as a Senior Software Engineer for Printforia, Inc. In addition, since 2006, Joseph has been a Comedian and Business Manager for Stand-Up Comedy, where they built a comedy website to connect with fans and a calendar for upcoming shows using JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3, created and managed a weekly comedy show with local acts, and toured nationally with various comedy groups.

Joseph Nguyen attended Pomona College from 2001 to 2005, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Philosophy and a BS in Philosophy.
