Joana Couto has a diverse work experience in the field of human resources. Joana is currently working as a Human Resources Director at PRIO, a position they began in 2023. Before that, they held the role of People & Talent Manager Portugal at Helexia Portugal from 2020 to 2023, where they were responsible for various HR functions and the development of HR strategies. Prior to that, Joana worked at Sonae MC as an HR Manager, HR Business Partner, and HR Project Manager from 2018 to 2020. Joana also has experience as an HR Business Partner at Unicer from 2014 to 2018, where they contributed to HR projects and policy implementation. Joana began their career at Randstad Professionals Portugal in 2005 as a Senior Human Resources Consultant, where they conducted various HR processes and had commercial responsibilities.
Joana Couto has a diverse educational background. In 1998, they enrolled at the Universidade de Coimbra, where they pursued a Licentiate degree in Work and Organizations Psychology. Joana successfully completed their studies in 2003. In 2004, Joana attended the Atlântico Business School, specializing in Human Resources Management and earning a Professional Specialization in the field.
Their educational journey continued in 2022 when they joined AESE Business School for the Management & Leadership Program, although the specific field of study is not mentioned.
Furthermore, Joana has obtained additional certification as a Mentor from the Pitch Bootcamp in October 2019.

A Prio Biocombustíveis actualmente tem a operar uma fábrica de biodiesel em Portugal no Porto de Aveiro, com uma capacidade instalada de 113.880 toneladas de biodiesel por ano. Utiliza tecnologia de topo à escala mundial, que se caracteriza tecnologicamente pela sua adequabilidade a qualquer tipo de matéria-prima de origem vegetal, podendo combinar no produto final misturas que garantam o equilíbrio entre qualidade, preço e impactos ambientais.
