The Research Team at PRIO conducts interdisciplinary research to understand and propose solutions for maintaining peaceful relations between states, groups, and individuals. Their work involves identifying and analyzing trends in global conflicts, exploring the normative foundations of peace and violence, and examining the impacts of armed conflict on societies. The team also contributes to advancing theoretical and methodological tools in peace research and fosters new scholars through their PhD level Research School in Peace and Conflict. Their findings are disseminated through academic publications, reports, working papers, and media contributions.
