Barrett Howell

Barrett Howell, CISSP has a diverse work experience in various roles and organizations. From 2021 onwards, they have been serving as the Director of Strategy and Technology at PriorityOne Bank. Prior to this, they worked as the Information Security Officer at Renasant Bank from 2020 to 2021. From 2017 to 2020, Barrett held the position of Information Security and Cybersecurity Officer at PriorityOne Bank. Before transitioning to the banking sector, they worked as the Lead Systems Administrator at the Mississippi Department of Child Protection Services for the first half of 2017. Prior to that, they served as the Director of IT at Verde Services from 2015 to 2016. Barrett started their career as an IT Specialist at PriorityOne Bank from 2013 to 2015. Lastly, they worked as a PC Technician at Simpson County Technical Center from 2010 to 2012.

Barrett Howell, CISSP, has pursued a Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity and Information Assurance from Western Governors University, completing the program between 2019 and 2020. Prior to this, they obtained an Associate's Degree in IT Networking/LAN from Jones College, which they earned from 2009 to 2011.

In addition to their academic background, Barrett has obtained several certifications to enhance their expertise in the field of cybersecurity. Barrett is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certified by (ISC)² since August 2019. Moreover, they hold certifications such as CompTIA Project+, CompTIA Web Security Associate, EC-Council Certified Incident Handler, CompTIA A+ ce, CompTIA IT Operations Specialist – CIOS Stackable, and CompTIA Network+ ce, all of which were obtained in 2019 and 2020 from respective institutions.
