Mark Kinkelaar has diverse work experience in the chemical industry, spanning over three decades. Mark currently serves as the Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) at PRISM™ Worldwide since December 2021. Previously, they were the Global Business Director for Eco-Friendly Polyols at Emery Oleochemicals LLC from July 2014 to December 2021. In this role, they led the Global Polyols Division, overseeing strategies, P&L responsibility, and product development aligned with market demands. Prior to that, Mark worked as the Senior Platform Leader for Incubators and Ventures at Ashland Inc from August 2013 to July 2014. Mark was responsible for evaluating new growth initiatives, with a focus on medical device applications and agricultural chemical solutions. Before that, Mark served as the Executive Vice President at Luritek Inc, a marine antifouling coating startup, from November 2009 to August 2013. Here, they led technology programs and established commercial products. From October 2004 to October 2009, Mark worked at Medis Technologies as the SVP of Technology and Operations, leading the development and commercialization of direct borohydride fuel cells. Prior to that, they were the Director of Business Development for Technical Products at Foamex International from January 2000 to August 2004, where they focused on growing the technical foams business. Mark began their career at ARCO Chemical in November 1993, where they held various roles, including Market Development Manager and Senior Development Engineer. During their time at ARCO Chemical, they developed automotive seating technology and provided technical support to OEMs. Overall, Mark Kinkelaar has extensive experience in leadership roles, product development, strategy implementation, and market analysis within the chemical industry.
Mark Kinkelaar obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Chemical Engineering from The Ohio State University, graduating in 1988. Mark then pursued a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Chemical Engineering from the same institution, completing it in 1990. Mark further continued their education at The Ohio State University and earned a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Chemical Engineering in 1993.
