Yatin Nerella

Yatin Nerella is currently a MedEx Ambassador at Prisma Health and has been involved with the organization since June 2023. In this role, Yatin endorses the MedEx Academy to prospective students at the University of South Carolina. Previously, Yatin served as a Tier III Intern at MedEx Academy, gaining experience by shadowing various specialties in both inpatient and outpatient settings at Greenville Memorial Hospital. At the University of South Carolina, Yatin is active as a Magellan Ambassador and an Undergraduate Research Assistant, focusing on research related to circadian rhythms and their impact on learning impairments. Additionally, Yatin holds the position of President for the Rural Interest Group at the SC Center for Rural and Primary Healthcare and has experience as Secretary and Risk Management Officer for the Phi Delta Epsilon Medical Fraternity, along with serving as Treasurer for the Rural Interest Group. Prior experience includes working as a lifeguard at Fox Pool Management Inc. Yatin is pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology at the University of South Carolina, expected in 2024, and graduated from T L Hanna High School in 2020.
