Oscar Fredy Nuñez Rojas

Oscar Fredy Nuñez Rojas has extensive experience in the energy industry, with a focus on operations and control room management. Oscar Fredy started their career as a Leader of Projects and Support Operation at Mecánicos Asociados S.A.S. - MASA, where they were responsible for project management and the operation of gas turbines. Oscar Fredy worked in this role from November 2005 to December 2013.

In 2014, Oscar joined APREnergy as a Shift Manager - Control Room Operator at the Punta del Tigre 200 MW power plant in Uruguay. In addition to operating and maintaining turbines and auxiliary equipment, they also worked in the oil and fuel laboratory. Oscar Fredy was a member of the technical team responsible for demobilizing turbines and BOP equipment. Oscar Fredy held this position until July 2016.

From January 2017 to August 2017, Oscar worked at ProEnergy Services as a Mobilization Technician - Advisor & Trainer.

Oscar then returned to APREnergy and held various roles within the company. From November 2017 to September 2018, they worked as a Shift Manager - Control Room Operator at the Refinery Ing. Antonio Dovali Jaime power plant in Mexico. Oscar Fredy operated gas turbines and assisted in maintenance activities.

In October 2018, Oscar transitioned to a role as a BOP&Lab Specialist at APREnergy in Argentina, where they advised and trained personnel on operations and maintenance of auxiliary plant equipment, as well as managed the Fuel&Oil Analysis Laboratory. Oscar Fredy worked in this role until November 2019.

From December 2019 to June 2020, Oscar returned to the role of Shift Manager - Control Room Operator at APREnergy, this time at the La Rosita 60MW power plant in Mexicali, Mexico. Oscar Fredy operated gas turbines and was responsible for engine and auxiliary equipment maintenance and reporting.

Most recently, Oscar joined PRISMECS in May 2022 as an Operations Shift Manager, continuing their work in energy operations and management.

Throughout their career, Oscar has demonstrated expertise in turbine control operations, maintenance coordination, and laboratory management.

Oscar Fredy Nuñez Rojas attended the Universidad Nacional de Colombia from 1988 to 1994. During this time, they pursued a degree in Ingeniero Quimico and specialized in Gestion y supervision de operaciones, as well as Tecnología de procesos químicos.
