Carl Deryl Vitasa has worked in the VR and technology industry since 2016. Carl Deryl began their career at Microsoft as a Tech Programmer for a SCAD + Microsoft Collaboration Project, where they created a prototype of a conversational user interface using a Raspberry Pi. In 2017, they worked as a Game Programmer for the VR Lab at Savannah College of Art and Design and as a Creative 3D Application Engineer, Unity 3D Front-End Developer, and Unity 3D Developer at Magic Leap. In 2020, they joined Moth+Flame as a Senior VR Developer II and Senior VR Developer, constructing core architecture for suicide prevention training utilizing speech recognition and creating reusable components for emergency procedure training simulations. Currently, they are a Senior VR Engineer at Prisms of Reality.
Carl Deryl Vitasa attended the International School of Manila from 2008 to 2013, where they earned a High School degree in Computer Science. Carl Deryl then went on to attend the Savannah College of Art and Design from 2013 to 2017, where they earned a Bachelor's of Fine Arts in Interactive Design & Game Development, with a focus on Programming and Game Development.
