David Steiner is a member of the Board of Directors of FedEx, where he serves as Lead Director, and Vulcan Materials, where he serves as the Chairperson of the Nominating and Governance Committee. From 2004 until November 2016, David served as CEO and President of Waste Management, the largest solid waste and recycling company in North America. He also held the positions of CFO, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary, and Deputy General Counsel.
Mr. Steiner serves on a number of non-profit and educational boards, including the EJ Ourso School of Business at LSU. David graduated from the UCLA School of Law, with honors, and practiced Corporate and Securities law at Phelps Dunbar, Gibson, Dunn and Crutcher and Jones Walker. David also has a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Louisiana State University, where he graduated cum laude.
