Ali Qureshi

Head of Development at Private Energy Partners

Ali Qureshi's work experience spans over two decades. Ali is currently the Head of Development at Private Energy Partners, where they lead the origination and development of renewable energy power projects. In their previous role as a Senior Renewable Energy Manager at Centrica, Ali was responsible for leading the origination and development of renewable asset portfolios. Before that, they worked as a Principal Consultant at Sosten Energy Transition, where they assisted clients in the renewable energy and gas-to-power sector. Ali also has experience at Iberdrola, where they held various positions including Head of Development New Markets, Head of Business Development UK, and Head of Business Development - Africa. Prior to that, they served as a Regional Manager at Picsel Technologies and as a Pilot at AEROFAN. Overall, Ali has a diverse background in renewable energy, business development, and project management.

Ali Qureshi's education history begins in 1987 when they attended the University of Nottingham. Ali obtained a Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) degree in Industrial Engineering from there in 1991. In 1992, they pursued a Master of Arts (MA) degree in Communication and Computing (Artificial Intelligence) at Middlesex University, which they completed in 1993.

Moving forward, Ali attended IE Business School in 2002 and 2003, where they earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Business Administration and Management, Executive. Additionally, in 2003 to 2006, they completed their training at Aerofan Flight School, obtaining their Commercial Pilot JAA Qualified certification.

Later, in 2016 to 2018, Ali studied at London South Bank University, completing the GDL/PgDip/LLM program in Law. In 2022, they attended the University of Oxford and obtained a Certificate in Law and Sustainability.

Apart from their academic qualifications, Ali also holds various certifications. In 1997, they obtained a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from Cranfield School of Management. In 1999, they received the Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer: Windows 2000 Server (MCSE) certification from Microsoft. In 2004, they obtained the ATPL certification from the EASA - European Union Aviation Safety Agency. Lastly, in 2015, they gained the GMC (Galileo Master Certificate) in Financing Renewable Energy Assets from the European Energy Centre (EEC).
