Facing New Challenges at Private Sector Security

Pekka Aho has extensive experience in safety investigation and public administration, currently facing new challenges in the private sector since August 2023. Prior to this role, Pekka was the Head of the Investigation Team at Onnettomuustutkintakeskus - Safety Investigation Authority in Finland, leading significant investigations into notable incidents, including the collapse of a bridge in Espoo in May 2023 and the grounding of the Palva ferry in December 2018. Pekka also served as the Head of the Master Speed Skating Committee, aiming to enhance speed skating activities in Finland from April 2018 to March 2023. Previous positions include responsibilities in various capacities related to public order and security at the Ministry of the Interior, culminating in roles such as Assistant Police Director and Chief Superintendent. Pekka Aho holds a Master’s Degree in Administrative Sciences from the University of Tampere and a Bachelor’s Degree from the Police College of Finland.
