Nathan Hilbish

Nathan Hilbish has a diverse work experience in the field of engineering. Nathan most recently worked at Privateer Space as a Senior Avionics Hardware Engineer starting in January 2023. Prior to this, they worked at Hilbish Design as an Electrical Design Engineer from 2012 onwards.

Before joining Privateer Space, Nathan worked at Framatome as an Engineer IV from August 2022 to January 2023, and as an Electrical Engineer from November 2020 to August 2022. Additionally, they gained experience at Electronic Design & Manufacturing (EDM) as an Electrical Design Engineer from October 2013 to October 2020, and at GridPoint as a Hardware Design Engineer from October 2012 to October 2013.

Nathan's work experience also includes a role as a Teaching and Research Assistant at Virginia Commonwealth University from 2009 to October 2012. In this position, they developed and taught engineering lab classes, assisted students with their class work, and supported professors with research.

Nathan Hilbish earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Virginia Commonwealth University, where they attended from 2006 to 2010. Nathan later obtained a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in the same field from Virginia Commonwealth University, which they attended from 2010 to 2012. Nathan also holds additional certifications, including Niagara AX from Tridium, which they obtained in June 2013, and Engineer In Training from NCEES, which they obtained in May 2010.
