David Vanoppen

David Vanoppen has a diverse work experience spanning over several industries. David currently serves as the CEO and Senior privacy and data protection consultant at Privatum since January 2018. At Privatum, they focus on new business development, digital security, information security, and GDPR consulting.

Prior to their current role, David worked as Zaakvoerder at Goli@ BVBA since January 2005. Before that, they held the position of Sales Manager at ICASA Group from March 2004 to January 2018.

David's career started in 1993 as a SW engineer at PIMC and later transitioned to become an Account Manager at EVO-Soft in January 2000. David then worked as a Consultant at EVO-Soft where they developed the KBC ATM application and migrated Cera and KB applications.

David Vanoppen attended Technisch instituut Don Bosco Helchteren from 1983 to 1989, where they completed their Middelbaar onderwijs in the field of Industriële informatica. David then went on to study Informatica at Hogeschool PXL from 1989 to 1993, earning their A1 degree. In addition to their formal education, David has also obtained the IBM Power Sales Certification from IBM, although the specific month and year of obtaining this certification are not provided.
