In 2021, they began their role as Deputy Chairman of the Anthesis Group, a sustainability consulting firm backed by Palatine Private Equity's Impact Fund. In 2020, they were appointed Non Executive Chairman of Skill Dynamics and Advisor of RightSpend. From 2018 to 2020, they were a Non Executive Director of PrivCo. From 2017 to 2020, they were the Non Executive Chairman of OAG, a leading flight information company backed by Vitruvian Partners. From 2016 to 2017, they were the Executive Chairman of Ishka: Aviation Finance, a company providing advice and analytics to the aviation finance community. From 2015 to 2016, they were the Non Executive Chairman of AgriBriefing, an independent UK provider of news and events in agriculture backed by Ares Capital and Horizon. From 2014 to 2015, they were an Advisor of Capital Economics, a global leader in macro economic research. From 2005 to 2011, they were the CEO of Ascend, a successful aviation information business which they spun out from its parent company and sold to Reed Elsevier. From 2001 to 2005, they were the Co-founder and CEO of PowerInfo Ltd.
Gehan Talwatte has an extensive educational background. Gehan obtained a BA (Honours) in Economics & Political Science from Swarthmore College in 1987. Gehan then went on to pursue a dual-degree program at Columbia, obtaining an MBA in Marketing & Finance from Columbia Business School in 1991, and a Master of International Affairs (MIA) in International Business from SIPA in 1992.
