Justin Gilder

Justin Gilder has a diverse work experience in the field of taxation. Justin started their career at Protective Life and Annuity Insurance Company as a Sr. Staff Accountant - Tax, where they prepared income tax returns, consolidated subgroups for annual filings, and prepared excise tax returns. Justin then worked at Deloitte as a Manager, managing income tax compliance and tax provision accounting for manufacturing clients, as well as reviewing personal income tax returns for high net worth individuals. After that, they joined KPMG LLP as a Manager - Federal Tax, Financial Services, where they supervised and reviewed income tax provision preparation and audits. Justin also had a tax internship with KPMG and served as an instructor for KPMG's Financial Reporting for Income Taxes Related to Insurance Companies. Currently, Justin is working at ProAssurance as a Tax Director, leading all tax functions of the company and its subsidiaries, serving as a liaison to the executive management, and responsible for tax audits and examinations.

Justin Gilder completed their Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BSBA) with a major in Accountancy at Auburn University from 1994 to 1998. Justin continued their education at Auburn University, where they obtained a Master of Accountancy (MAc) degree in 1999. In addition to their academic degrees, Justin has obtained certifications as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) from both the Alabama State Board of Public Accountancy and the Texas State Board of Public Accountancy.
