Laura Ekery

Laura Ekery, JD, CPCU, is a seasoned professional in the field of claims management and professional liability, currently serving as a Regional Claims Executive for ProAssurance since January 2013. Previously, Laura held several leadership roles at the Texas Health & Human Services Commission from November 2007 to January 2013, including Regional Vice President of Claims and Director of Claims. Earlier in their career, Laura practiced as Special Counsel at Ballard, Simmons & Ekery, LLP and was a Partner at the firm from February 1999 to December 2005. Laura holds a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Texas School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Texas A&M University.
