Mikel Roscales is currently a PhD student at KTH Royal Institute of Technology, focusing on cell line engineering to optimize AAV-based gene therapy production. Prior experience includes working as a Research Associate at Procella Therapeutics AB, where Mikel contributed to PSC-based cell therapy for cardiac tissue regeneration and process development. Mikel's background includes a summer position at AstraZeneca, performing iPSC culture and differentiation, as well as master's thesis work involving similar methodologies. Additional research experience encompasses internships at Karolinska Institutet, where Mikel validated quantitative mass spectrometry data; SciLifeLab, focusing on rsEGFP fusion protein for microscopy; and UPV/EHU, investigating solid lipid nanoparticles for antibiotic encapsulation. Mikel Roscales holds a Master of Science in Molecular Techniques in Life Science from KTH Royal Institute of Technology, Karolinska Institutet, and Stockholm University, following a Bachelor's degree in Biotechnology from Universidad del País Vasco.
