Brett Bass is a Senior Data Scientist at Procter & Gamble since January 2023. Previously, Brett served as an R&D Associate Staff Member in the Grid-Interactive Controls Group at Oak Ridge National Laboratory from July 2021 to January 2023, leading the development of AutoBEM and overseeing multiple projects. Academic experience includes a role as a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, focusing on utility-scale building energy modeling. Prior to that, Brett contributed as a Contractor at Emerson Climate Technologies, developing predictive algorithms, and held research assistant positions at the University of Dayton, concentrating on data mining and machine learning applications. Brett holds a PhD in Data Science & Engineering and a Master's degree in Renewable & Clean Energy from the University of Tennessee and University of Dayton, respectively, alongside a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
