Kymberleigh Romano

Kymberleigh Romano, PhD has a diverse work experience that spans several roles and institutions. Kymberleigh began their career as a Graduate Assistant at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where they conducted independent research on the role of gut microbes in disease development. During this time, they established collaborative relationships with other faculty members and published their findings.

After completing their graduate studies, Kymberleigh joined the Cleveland Clinic as a Postdoctoral Fellow. Here, they worked on a cross-functional team and also pursued independent research projects focused on understanding the impact of microbial metabolism on cardiovascular events. Kymberleigh secured funding for their research and was responsible for analyzing and compiling data for publication.

In 2021, Kymberleigh joined Case Western Reserve University as a Professor of Record. Kymberleigh Romano, PhD, began their education in 2009 when they attended Rowan University. Kymberleigh earned their Bachelor's degree in Biology/Biological Sciences, General, completing their studies in 2013. Afterward, they pursued further education at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. From 2013 to 2017, Kymberleigh completed their Doctor's Degree in Microbiology at this institution. Additionally, they obtained a Certificate in Teaching from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, which they completed between 2014 and 2016.
