Group Head Embedded Software at Proemion

Filipe Teixeira has a diverse work experience in software engineering and embedded systems. Filipe started their career at Maisis - Information Systems, Lda. as an Analyst / Programmer, where they developed web applications for document management using C# and Silverlight. Filipe then worked as a Development Engineer at Brightblue, where they were responsible for developing products for remote water pool treatment, including programming Microchip's microcontrollers in C and integrating MSSql databases using Silverlight and C#.

Filipe then joined IDENT Technology AG as a Software Firmware Engineer, where they worked on firmware development for microcontrollers and ASICs, conversion of Matlab algorithms to C code, and testing digital components. Filipe also worked remotely and on-site at Microchip Technology Inc., consulting for their technologies after the acquisition of Ident Technologies.

Filipe then transitioned to Motec GmbH as a Software Firmware Engineer, working remotely and on-site, where they developed Altera VIP suite and FPGAs IP VHDL, enhanced a JpegCore IP in VHDL, and worked on Coaxpress bus development in FPGA. Filipe also worked on embedded Linux development using C++ and programming microcontrollers.

Filipe then joined Unicorn Engineering GmbH as a Senior Software Development Engineer, working on projects assigned from CIS. Filipe later joined Bosch Engineering GmbH as a Software Firmware Engineer in their Motorsport division, working remotely and on-site.

Filipe also worked as a Senior Software Engineer at KulzerTEC, where they consulted for several companies in Portugal and Germany, programming microcontrollers, and developing embedded software in Bare metal or C/C++ for OS/RTOS such as Linux, VxWorks, and FreeRTOS.

In 2022, Filipe founded TXR Solutions, their own company. Currently, they are working as the Group Head Embedded Software at Proemion - Telematics Solutions, where they are responsible for coordinating firmware development, DevOps, and test teams, as well as developing products based on CAN/CANOpen with mobile and local wireless communication. Filipe is also involved in the development of the CI/CD system using HIL setups.

Filipe Teixeira pursued their education in the field of Electronic and Telecommunications Engineering. Filipe attended Universidade de Aveiro from 2001 to 2007 to obtain a Lic. degree. Later, in 2009 to 2010, they enrolled at the same university to acquire an MsC in the same field.
