Machine Learning Engineer at Profasee

Isaiah Pressman is a machine learning engineer who currently works at Profasee. Previously, they worked as a machine learning researcher at the Cleveland Clinic, where they trained state of the art computer vision models on thousands of patients from dozens of datasets to automatically detect important features, including tumorous tissue, stroma, microsatellite instability, and tumor infiltrating lymphocytes in colorectal, gastric, and kidney cancer whole-slide H&E images. Isaiah also studied the effect of ethnic differences between various patient cohorts on the final performance and generalizability of the trained models. Before that, they were a lead tutor at St. Olaf College, where they coordinated with Center for Advising and Academic Support staff in order to train new tutors in a systematic and thorough manner. Isaiah also planned and led training sessions and monthly meetings to facilitate other student tutors’ success in their own tutoring endeavors.

Isaiah Pressman attended St. Olaf College, where they earned a Bachelor of Music in vocal performance.
