Sean O'Connell

Sean O'Connell is a seasoned sports announcer and former mixed martial artist with a diverse broadcasting career. Currently serving as the Play-by-Play Announcer for the Professional Fighters League since June 2018, O'Connell leads a three-man broadcast team for MMA events on ESPN networks, marking a notable transition from a successful fighting career. Additionally, O'Connell hosts "Pac 12 Today" on Sirius XM Radio, delivering a top-performing afternoon drive show. Previous roles include co-hosting sports-talk shows at Broadway Media and Entercom, where O'Connell achieved significant ratings success, and competing as a Light Heavyweight fighter in the Ultimate Fighting Championship, earning national recognition. O'Connell holds an Executive MBA from Brigham Young University and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Utah.
