Chris Penso

Chris Penso is an experienced full-time referee with the Professional Referee Organization since January 2013, officiating over 170 regular season matches across the US and Canada. In addition to the current role, Chris serves as the Coordinator of Officials for both the Men’s & Women's Soccer divisions of the American Athletic Conference and The Sun Conference since March 2020. Prior experience includes serving as a professional referee for the US Soccer Federation and managing Penso’s Pizza in Dover. Chris also worked as a State Trooper with the Ohio State Highway Patrol. Chris holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Kent State University, earned between 2000 and 2004.
